What file formats are supported?
GIS Edit supports common geospatial formats including GeoJSON, Shapefile (SHP), KML, and GML. We are continuously adding support for more formats.
How do I create a buffer around my features?
Navigate to the Buffer Tool, upload your geographic data, specify the buffer distance and units, then click "Generate Buffer". The result can be downloaded in your preferred format.
What is the maximum file size I can upload?
Free plan users can upload files up to 10 MB. Pro plan users have a limit of 100 MB per file, and Enterprise users have unlimited file size uploads.
Can I use GIS Edit for commercial projects?
Yes! All paid plans include commercial use rights. The free plan is intended for personal and educational use only.
How is my data handled?
Your data is processed securely and is automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours. We do not share or sell your geographic data to third parties.
What projection systems are supported?
We support all EPSG-defined coordinate reference systems. By default, output is provided in WGS 84 (EPSG:4326), but you can specify your preferred CRS.
